Here are some of my favorite locations to fish.

lake roosevelt,WA

The king of Northwest Kokanee fisheries this lake routinely produces Kokanee in excess of 20”. The lake also supports a healthy Rainbow Trout and Walleye population.

Puget Sound

Loved to death perhaps the Puget Sound still offers remarkably good fishing for salmon, Dungeness crab, and squid. I prefer mountain skylines over city skylines but still find many days of joy on this body of water.

Columbia River

I live directly on the might Columbia and take full advantage of its diversity of salmon fisheries it offers from the Brewster pool to B10.

Okanogan highlands

Tucked away in north-central Washington is a rugged escarpment that rises east of the Okanogan River. Shaped by glaciers that area is marked by a number of small deep natural lakes teeming with trout and Kokanee. Best of all, I mostly have these lakes to myself.

Pacific Ocean

A terrible name for an often fearsome body of water, the Pacific offers amazing bottom and salmon fishing but chasing Albacore Tuna far beyond the horizon is my favorite way to enjoy the big blue.

Coulee lakes

Thousands of years ago the massive Missoula floods swept across eastern Washington gouging out huge channels. Many of these channel filled with water forming natural lakes while others were dammed to form man-made lakes. These deep cold lakes fed by the Columbia River irrigation system now support a diversity of trout, walleye, and bass fisheries in a stunning canyonland setting.
